Did you know that you can change the size of the type on most websites you view? All you have to do is use a simple key combination while you are looking at the page. To make the type larger use Control+ on Windows and Linux. For Macs use Command+. To make the type smaller use Control- on Windows and Linux and Command- on Mac. That's the Control or Command key and the plus or minus key clicked at the same time. That's it! Try this next time you have trouble reading a website because the type is too large or too small. Or try it out on our site just to see how it works.
Why doesn't it work all the time? It depends on how the website was designed. If you are looking at an image rather than HTML it won't work. If the designer used fixed type sizes rather than variable sizes, it won't work But most designers today use variable sizes.
